Boyfriends. And Stupid Teenage Jealousy.

So I got sent this on Facebook about an hour ago.

Girls its time for some fun again ! Make your status :

Champagne - if youre single

Mojito - if you have a BIG CRUSH

Tequila - if you're dating

Baileys - If you're married

Beer - if you guys just broke up

I'm single. Not that I have problem with not dating anyone at the moment. But, it did make me realize that after that, ALL my best friends statuses: TEQUILA.
This made me think: am I really that undesirable? I know, believe me, I KNOW that I don't need a man to be myself or be complete. But still. I just feel like a failure. But these things take time and I know that if i wait, things will get better. I mean, the worst that could happen is that I don't get a boyfriend.

I'm sorry if my self-consciousness is making you angry. but come on, you're reading a teen girl's blog. it was bound to happen.

I want someone for me. But not just for the sake of having them, more for the closeness you get, the friendship, and that deep connection that no one else can understand. I honestly feel so jealous of my friends. I want what they have. LOL I bet I sound like a cliche. I'm sorry for you guys, if you can't understand. But it's on my mind right now and this is my release. I hate that I'm Jealous. I don't want to be. Why can't I be happy with what I have? Human nature. Ugh.

Thanks for listening.

I don't get it.

You know in those troubled teen movies, how the guidance counselor says that it's because they come from a troubled home? How about those movies where the whole point is to open up to your parents? Tell them everything?
They don't apply to me. Not because I hate my parents or anything.
I just find that telling them that I have a problem does nothing for me. Last year my mom told me that a friend of mine was struggling in school. If I told my parents that, what exactly would happen? They couldn't help me with my homework. Trust me, I've tried. Math, science, geography. Nothing. It kind of posses me off. I mean, aren't they supposed to help you? Isn't that what parents are supposed to do?

Those movies make me pretty angry. Although their approach is to make the ideal family, isn't the whole point to make something relateable to the audience? Watching the perfect family up there on the big screen just sucks.

University Fair 3.0

So, I took my sister to the university fair today in town. Aha, that makes me sound like a hick. No, actually, I live in Toronto. So we to to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre to look for universities she might want to attend. In two years. Yup, she's a keener. So was I. This is the third time I'll have gone to get the free bags, lanyards, and highlighter pens that this wonderful fair has to offer. But, unlike myself, my sister does not get excited for these things. She didn't even look at the other schools! We spent about an hour and a half there max. I mean, yeah it's great that you know where you wanna go, but don't you wanna see what else there is out there?

Aside from that, there was a blue jays game that day. So along with seeing a million high schoolers, there were also the Jays fans. With the t-shirts, big fingers, and of course the face and body paint. Also, I saw the movie "Easy A" today. Very good! Funny scenes where I actually laugh? Yes please.

It was actually a pretty good day. Except for the fact that I had to wake up at 7 am. Haven't done that in a while.
