When All You Can Do Is Laugh.

I don't want to get into the details because i have about 10 pages of history to read if I want to be on time this week, so I'll be doing a list to explain to you what happened today (they seem to be my thing lately). Here we go boys & girls!
a) My best friend's birthday is this saturday. Our other BFF & I want to hang out with her but she goes to school in Ottawa. Our plan was to spend the weekend with her and have fun! Good plan except
b) my parents were former jail wardens in a previous life, and I asked, but it was a complete no. I then got yelled at for not doing the laundry and cleaning the bathroom even though I spend all my time on school WHICH is what they want me to do. This all happened on the phone on the way to school, so by the time I actually get there I'm in a bad mood and
c)went to the library after classes to study, where I missed 2 phone calls from my father who was rushing to get home to wait for some guy to fix the ticking noise our heater was making. He didn't arrive until 10PM. In his tiredness/Hunger/lack of patience, he left me & my friend without a ride and just as that happened, it
d) rained. Hard. And the wind blew, while we sat outside for 30 minutes waiting for the bus. By the time we arrived at the station waiting for a second bus to take us home, the bus that was supposed to take us, only stopped in the town right before ours. So we waited in a shabby little bus shack for 40 minutes waiting for the right bus. When this bus came, we ran for it (as the shack was not right next to our bus stop) and
e) soaked the sneakers I had decided to wear for ONCE in my lifetime. We get on the bus, drying off as we go, and my friend calls her mom so we know where to get off so she can take us home from the bus stop. 20 minutes later, we get off at the buss stop to find that her mom isn't there. She's still at the birthday party that's 10 minutes away. This leaves us
f) on a road at 8:35 pm but due to the season & weather change looks more like 12:45am in the pouring and wind-infested rain without bus shelter. By this time, I was delirious because I hadn't eaten since 4pm. I finished all my snacks and both bus stations had no place to buy food.

At this point in time, the music I was listening to (Ke$ha's We R Who We R) gave me an idea. So while we waited for her mom, I began to sing and dance my heart out and once my friend saw me, all I could do was laugh. My day was absolutely ridiculous. By the way I also

g) Missed GLEE. Well, 55 minutes of it.

Love.

Who REALLY got trained?

Wednesday night my parents picked me up from school. They were talking about the "bird in the back" and keeping it safe. I assumed they were talking about food. As in, they bought an expensive piece of meat or something and they were trying to decide where to store the frozen chicken or whatever it was at home. So we get home and my mom goes back to the car and pulls out a cage. In the cage: a bird. As in a pet. We haven't had a pet in so long, ever since the hamster catastrophe of '04. (My sister and I had hamsters. Hers tried to eat mine.) So we covered the cage, and went to bed. Thursdays I have a night class so I was home for the day. I woke up to what sounded like a mouse dying. I come downstairs, and there he is, our new pet bird, squawking its little heart out. I checked his food and water, then went to make myself breakfast. Of course, my presence excited him and he just never stopped. over the next hour I got so frustrated that I blasted the TV. He won. again. I then pulled out my laptop, played some songs and sang while dancing in front of my little enemy. He tried to compete, but oh no, I won this round. After that exciting event, I went up to take a shower. I guess he missed he because the whole time I was upstairs, I could hear him. I came down, refreshed and ready to fight, but he was quiet. I tried not to do anything that would excite him and played music quietly, watched TV quietly, and we had a good 2 hours of peacefulness. When my sister came home, I explained what I did to make him quiet, expressing my excitement of training him in silence! After  told her the story, I then realized that I had been the one who got trained. I was the one who had to be considerate of him, not the other way around.

Depressed and ready to leave, my dad came home with a 'surprise'. He gave me a box and told me to open it. SURPRISE: another pet bird. Clearly they were of different types of bird. But, to my dad a bird is a bird.  He then put our new female bird in the cage, with my father's high hopes of mating. Come on, we are not pet people. We can't take care of one bird, much less two, and now he wants babies? Great. Fortunately, the new bird is a quiet one. She freaked out a bit at the beginning, but we're good now. This didn't quiet down, our original bird pet. He keeps squawking non-stop until now. I mean, I feel like I've adjusted, but now, frankly, I'm annoyed. They seem to be scared of my hands, and this morning I introduced our new pet to my amazing song & dance skills. Aha, she enjoyed that.

Time to go, I'm moving upstairs so I can watch TV in peace. I better get a treat for being such a good owner.

Love.

Legal Lady

Alloooo My lovely online audience!

It was my birthday yesterday. Technically because today is now tomorrow, it was my birthday two days ago. I am now a legal adult in Canada (Khan-ah-dah). Wooo! I can now purchase all the lottery tickets in the world. Yay me! My father came home with 18 roses for me that day, as a jab that I decided not to have a debut (Filipino becoming of age ceremony. MAD partaay). But there are more pressing issues at hand. I also got $50 for nothing I guess. I also got a lot more "happy birthday!"'s at school than I expected. So that was a nice twist for me. Alrighty, now on to the more depressing. I failed my Economics midterm. I have 3 midterms in that class so this time I MUST pass or I have to drop the class, with no refund. I also forgot to rsvp for my commencement this friday. So I need to call them and see if I can still go. Ahaha, oh if my dad knew, I'd be so dead right now. So I have been studying quite hard! I am filled with economics to the point to where I make real life connections by accident. Yup. That's how sad it is. on top of that, this week I've gone to bed since Monday past 2am at the earliest. Sadness. But tomorrow morning, I GET TO SLEEP IN. Ahhh yes, the sweet sleep I have been drained of. But tonight, I will finish one sample mid term, because I still feel unprepared, and sleeep! (: The stressful life of an 18 year old.
Forgot to mention. DRAMAS! Sungyungwan Scandal! and Coffee House! So jokes. Okay I wanna sleep.

Love.
